it was a TCU rivals board admin, not someone from the AD. guess that could be confusing if you're not used to following these stories on sites like that

I dont think the BE bashing is true. Had WVU not lost to Pitt in 07, they would have played for the title instead of LSU and likely beaten Ohio state.

Depends on the team and ooc schedule. For instance WVU had LSU, and Terps(3 in the ACC). Had they won out, they may or may not have been in the title game depending on where they were ranked starting the season.

Also, Auburn was unbeaten in the SEC and got left out one year. There is no guarantee being unbeaten gets you in the title game. Depends on other factors.

All that said LSU is a top 10 job. TCU is not. So it will come down to how loyal he is to TCU. the Northwestern coach refused to even interview with Michigan. Michigan is obviously a better program than Northwestern, and the coach obviously considered factors other than money when he refused to even talk to Michigan.

Money has never been an issue at TCU. There is more than enough money at TCU. They are forking out 105 Million dollars for a stadium renovation.

"They" are six private donors who ponied up the $110 million needed. But you are right... money is not a problem for TCU.

LSU cannot match TCU from a compensation standpoint, period.

Not really. There's a difference between what TCU can afford to spend and what they are willing to spend. Yes, the could outbid us if the will was there, but I don't know that they will outbid us.
