need to do is hire Saban. Bammer will probably drop Auburn from their schedule so they can play LSU twice.

Having said that, Skip already told Sexton that it wasn't gonna happen, so I don't know why people still insist on claiming it's a possibility.

Dude, you've been posting the same non-factual bullshite for three days now. Give it a rest already. You have no idea what the AD of a major College told one of the most infamous agents in all of sports. Jesus Christ some people are retarded.

Skip will have absolutely no say in this hire. He is not the one that will be dealing with the coach. I think if LSU really wants to get Saban back, they need to get in touch with Radicovich and see if he's willing to come back to BR. One of the problems with trying to find a coach is that the coach needs to know who he's working with(AD). If Skip is the AD, noway Saban comes back and deals with him. I think that was a reason it made it easier for Saban to leave in the first place. Now if Saban knows who he'd be dealing with Radicovich he may look at it more seriously.

That may or may not be true...
Regardless, what makes you think that this is ultimately a Skip decision?

At this point, the only claim I'm willing to make is that "ANYTHING" is a possibility!

Well, I know it makes little guys like you feel better to doubt guys like me, and that's fine. I'm ok with it. Having said that, let's look at the facts.

Zee Dustin said that Miles is gone, done deal. While I don't think the deal is done yet, I think it's imminent.

Zee Dustin said that Spurrier is a done deal. I said that Spurrier is #1 choice, but the deal is far from "done".

Zee Dustin said that Jack Del Rio is not a candidate. While I don't believe JDR ends up as our coach, I said that I know he is definitely interested (confirmed by several media outlets including WWL) and was most certainly a candidate.

Go through all my posts and you will see that I have never EVER claimed that anything was a "done deal" about Miles or anyone else. I have never claimed anonymous sources either. My information comes direct from my uncle (my mother's brother for those of you from North Louisiana) who owns a few True Value Hardware stores and CarQuest Auto Parts franchises in the BR area, is a major booster, and is the reason I have season tix. He also is the reason that I knew about Saban and Miles before it was reported. (When Saban was hired there was no TD.com, when Miles was hired it was posted by someone else the day after I found out so I didnt bother.)

The bottom line is this, why would I make up a story about not really having any info that no one else has? Everybody knows that Miles is leaving, Spurrier, JDR, and RR are people that LSU is looking closely at, and that Saban has no shot of being re-hired. Hell, the majority of people who claim to "know" that Saban is coming back all talk about his buyout. Problem is that Saban doesn't have a buyout.

I realize that it's fun for a peon like you with no inside connections to flame someone that does, but it's also very tansparent. Whatever makes you feel better. The bottom line is this, the reason why NO ONE has the real scoop is because there IS NO real scoop yet. After the SECCG Miles will announce that he has accpeted the UM job - everybody who has any kind of inside connection knows that. Once the job is VACANT, then you will see a frenzy of activity that will all come to an abrubt end when one of the candidates ACCEPTS the job.

Any other questions?

Perfect example of jealousy! Name one thing I have posted that YOU CAN PROVE is non-factual. I have said nothing that dozens of other people haven't said, including media outlets. You can't, so STFU and go back to your meager, fair-weather fan existence!

if you say something is fact, shouldn't YOU be the one to provide evidence to support your claim?

i am not getting into all of this i just want to know where you saw it said, or who you heard it from that sexton has been told it will not be saban

"Don Corleone":

What you are saying may or may not be true, but you shouldn't come off as arrogant as you do. No one is jealous of you just because your uncles owns a few car parts stores.

You may not say "done deal" but the first statement says to me Its a done deal saban is not going to be LSU's next coach.

I just want to know if the admins on the board have put the heat on your information that you seem to belive is solid like they have with other posters.

I'm not the one who called bullshite on myself. My point is, if you call bullshite, then prove it's bullshite. If you can't, then STFU!

Saban had Sexton contact some LSU people to see if there was any interest in him. The story I heard was that Skip called a few boosters (my uncle being one of them) to see what they thought. My uncle said F no and Skip told him that was the consensus of everyone else he talked to. By the way, anyone who thinks Skip isn't involved in this process is a rantard in its purest form!

sorry, that isn't how it works

if you say something about someone and report it to be fact, when questioned about it you should be able to prove its validity

how can someone prove that someone didn't tell you something? how can that physically be done?

the ONLY way you can prove that it was said was to say who said it to who, and who told you....which i have seen you have done..i still don't believe you b/c i have my own reasons, but if you claim something to be fact, the burden is on you to prove that it is, not the contrary

1) I gave all the info I had including where I got it.
2) There is nothing out of the ordinary about what I said (ie - Spurrier rented a mercedes from Enterprise in BR, Terry Saban seen house shopping, Skip and Spurrier at the airport together, etc.)
3) If I were to make something up, I think it would be a little sexier than what I have said.
4) I know what I know (which isn't much) and have chosen to share it. Mainly because I don't want the Sabanites to get out of control since he has NO CHANCE of coming back to LSU. Just trying to keep the rumor mill in check as much as possible.
5) And, no. It's not up to me to provide any backup to what I say. I have provided all the info I have. Like I said, if it's not enough, then so be it. Prove me wrong or shoo shoo.

I know that reading comprehension is not a requirement nor a priority for Bammer fans, but I'll indulge your simpleton mind anyway. Where in my post did I say that my uncle was "in charge" of anything (besides his hardware stores and auto parts shops)? The answer is nowhere. He did, however, get a call from Skip asking for his opinion. Skip can still so whatever he wants, but apparently before telling Sexton to F off arbitrarily, he wanted to get some input from a few boosters. Skip indicated that none of the other guys he had called had answered in the affirmative either. Are you still reading this or did a shiny object distract you?

Anyway, you should be relieved. Saban will be back next year to make it 0-7 against Auburn!

Prove me wrong

why do i have to prove you wrong

i don't believe you....i don't care if you are right, wrong or lying......it doesn't matter i still don't believe you

i do not believe that skip told your uncle that there is 0% chamce that nick saban will be the next coach at lsu

while i don't think it will happen and i think the results of that statement may turn out ot be true, i do not believe the events you have given ever took place

how can i prove something didn't happen, if it never happened....that is like me telling you to prove i didn't swim 145 miles yesterday...

do i believe skip may have called your uncle...possibly, but it doesn't matter

do i believe they discussed nick saban....unlikely, but possible

do i believe skip is basing a rock solid opinion of 0% chance that nick is rehired based on conversations he had with a couple (and not all b/c i know of 1 BIG player who has not been in contact with skip about saban) of boosters...no, not a chance

should you care...no

i got all the answer i need...just another "i have my inside source" stories. thanks for sharing.

filed with the rest of them

don what do you have to say to malone?

LINK

quote:

Miles is gone on Monday. His deal has been done for 8 weeks now. It was between Spurrier and Saban. The president wanted Spurrier. Everyone else wanted Saban. It will be Saban.

Saban is really pissed off and miserable at Alabama. The Bryant boys have pissed him off. The sad part is a dead man runs that school still. They worship a dead man and always will. IMO I think they should have kept Shula. No one will ever be good enough there. The Bryant boys run shite over there. Saban will be LSU new coach. Was showed 3 houses today in BR and signed on 1 of them. 3 million a year. 10 million buyout. Saban is going to be a Tiger again.

not too hard to see why if anyone believes what they read on the rant, they just may be mentally retarded

So you are saying the owner of a true value and CarQuest in Baton Rouge is giving enough money to LSU that our AD would call him and make sure he is OK with the hiring of our next head coach?

That seems to be a call, that if it was ever made (which I HIGHLY doubt), would be made to people whose name I see pasted on the scoreboard, and occupy those nice boxes across from the press box.
