Do you honestly believe that Ed Orgeron is going to have a more successful coaching career at LSU?

Les was possibly an offensive coordinator hire away from making the playoffs this year; too bad he couldn't pull the trigger and replace Cam.

Prolly not overall.

But if they both started today?

First game next year. It would be a draw.

Do you honestly believe that the most vocal Miles detractors were also proponents of keeping Orgeron as the permanent replacement?

I'm not sure O will have a more successful tenure at LSU than Les Miles did, but I am more than confident in saying that he will do better than Les has done the last 4 seasons. The decline was real my friend.

Although history tends to be an indicator of future performance, Les Miles is a different coach now than he was early on during his time at LSU and we were a sinking ship under his leadership.

So did I.
Love Coach Miles, glad he's gone.
Must be an upgrade or you take a chance of harming your program.

The SEC is much stronger now than it was half of Miles' tenure, so even if O is somehow the answer, probably not.

Still I think people really overestimate Les Miles' coaching abilities and iq. I don't think he's a complete moron, but let's just say I don't think Les Miles would have made 2005-2007 Ole Miss a football powerhouse either...nor would he recruit at the level O did there.

The problem with your question is the premise. Negatigers are also Anti-Os. Its the positigers that were calling for CEO. Go ask your question to them.

I'm just grateful that Aranda has been promoted to associate HC. That should give hints about the future.

There's at least one shiny part in all of this.

Interesting
I was definitely a positiger and Miles fan
I did think it was time for him to go. I do believe a change was needed.
However I am very anti O and believe AD and administration ficked this up royally
I think we are headed for the days of Tennessee post Fulmer and Texas post Mack Brown

Yep, this was an amateur move by LSU. Act like you have been there.
