Charlie Strong is a great example of "flavor of the month" coaches that haven't done very well since a move to a bigger conference.

Don't get all of the naysayers about Orgeron.

If he wins most of the rest of the way, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Most have agreed that if CEO had been the HC against Wisky and Auburn, then at this point LSU would be undefeated.

Not a put down to Herman at all, though he is the HC in a conference that doesn't have much strength of schedule.

If the season doesn't go well for LSU for most of the rest of the way, then sure, look to another alternative.

There is no disputing the strength that Orgeron brings to recruiting, and he gets out of the way of other coaching staff. That was (not getting out of the way of other coaching staff) his downfall before, and also Les', which Les would never admit to.

He's learned much in his HC successes and failures.

Not sure why some are sold on not wanting him to remain as HC seemingly no matter the outcome of this season.

And man, this LSU team looks like a different team.

LSU still has a tough road left under Orgeron for the remainder of the season, though if he proves a success, then why take a chance on a HC that is unproven in a heavyweight conference?

And yes, Orgeron didn't do well at OM, and that was years ago. Though he did better at USCe.

Time to let that OM HC thing go and see where things stand at the end of this season before jumping to conclusions about whom should be the LSU HC, imo.

Wouldn't Orgeron also be considered a flavor of the month coach?

so then quite literally anyone can do this job if they stay out of the way of assistants?

So Herman is a flavor of the month, yet O would be a great hire for taking a team most regarded as extremely talented and beating teams we're better than?

No. As stated in the OP let things play out before jumping a a bandwagon one way or the other.

The point of the OP was that some, no matter the outcome of this season want Herman and not Orgeron.

If he proves his salt, why take a risk on someone else.

yes, and the two games were against shitty teams. The Rant is just a bunch of emotional, impulsive teenagers, it seems.

love him as my coach at Lsu

he has 5 games left

if he goes 4-1 out of the last 5

7-1 he is our next coach

if he goes 6-2 - we still got to think about it very hard

top recruiter in the country - no question
loves Lsu - no question
would stay at Lsu - no question
would keep a solid staff - sure of it

What I love most about CEO - he is straight in your face honest - just deal with it

I think you will see this team play 60 minutes each week - we already saw what happens when they come out flat

love me some CEO

If you read the entirety of the OP, it was stated that most agree that LSU would be undefeated at this point had Orgeron been the LSU HC instead of Miles.

That would include Wisky and Auburn.

Most coaches are straight honest. You're just used to dealing with a complete retarded ahole in Miles. Why would a coach like Herman or fisher come here if they didn't want to? And also no shite he would stay at LSU. He doesn't have the pedigree to head coach anywhere as good. No tier 1 program would even consider him

I am in agreement with this. I like coach O, and keeping him means we will probably keep our excellent stable of assistant and position coaches. Add being one of the best recruiters in the mix, in a talent rich state, and I can see coach O being very successful at LSU. I want LSU to win out, but if they were to lose a game down the stretch, it will be how coach O gets the team to respond from that loss that will be the deciding factor for me in the head coaching decision.

Here's the thing most LSU fans can't wrap their head around - LSU isn't a tier 1 program.

We are in that next group of schools - more UGA than Texas - though we should still be able to pull in a highly regarded coach this year.

Most people are idiots.

Why would you give Orgeron credit for winning games that not only was he not head coach for, but were losses.

You can't look at the last two games and say that those games prove anything about what Orgeron would be had he been head coach all along.

I guess LSU should just keep Steve Ensminger as OC, too? 'Cause if Ensminger had been OC for Wisconsin and Auburn, LSU would have won those games.

The only people that think miles was an a-hole are dumbasses that never met the man. Miles has numerous flaws, being an a-hole was not one of them.

Also, Miles degree shits on yours if you have one.
