let's face it -if the kifster is interested in a job like that, we don't need him. he really doesn't want to be here.

I can understand and endorse the idea that he would want to entertain Oregon and Houston.

if he wants to be HC so bad he'll got to FA, then I say let's get someone who is excited to come her and be a part of our program.

again, i'm not rushing to judgment. there's been a lot of crap over the airwaves and internet all week.

I'd be shocked if Kiffin went to FAU, but I was also shocked when LSU hired Orgeron, so who the hell knows anymore.

Looks to me as an outsider that Lane Kiffin will be LSUs next OC

If FAU is a no go, he might end up as HC at Biloxi HS

FAU's coach made about 690k this year. How much interest do you think LK has in that? Yes, I'm sure they would go higher but be realistic, they'd have to almost triple that for what LSU would pay him. The only reason he's even being mentioned for this is because Saban does not want him at LSU.

Could be a charade by Kiffin. Seriously, interview for a bunch of shite jobs say, "Well, I tried. " ...and take an OC job north of $2mil a year.

I'd be more shocked at Kiffin to FAU than O to LSU. At least the latter is somewhat plausible but Kiffin could commit career suicide by going to FAU.

Kiffin is throwing away about six-seven years of his coaching career if he goes to FAU. Odds of success are very low. Odds of the type of success he'd need to jump to a top 15 job are impossible, and odds he will get fired are very good.

If he's smart, he will avoid that job, go be the OC at LSU and try again next year. He'd be smarter to try and reconcile with Saban for another year but that ship may have sailed.
