You should be proud of your school because Tulane is an excellent school, but surely you are joking about the football part. You can't be serious! LSU will always be the only major football school in that entire state. that being said, I will take a crimson tide over a green wave any day baby!!!

Spurrier wasn't available though was he...and if he was, i bet you they'd have had him back, and I think spurrier would have probably had the same success that Meyer did. Also Meyer lost 3 games this year, which in your fantasy world is enough to fire a head coach...and please don't call me arrogant...SABAN won a BCS title and is the ONLY reason LSU is relevant today, so I think my point is pretty solid.

I agree, but LSU has always been a sleeping giant. Saban simply re-awakened that sleeping giant and put the program back on the map. LSU is in a talent-rich state with little competition for recruits in Louisiana.
