Why do they get to report on this and pretend to be impartial?

6 massive corporations basically own 90% of American media.

Why do they get to pretend they're impartial?

A deal with a conference and a deal with an individual team are two different things.

Do I need to explain why?

The same reason they beat an overrated Notre Dame and vaulted to #10 after not being in top 25 with chants of "Texas is back"

Funck them

Who gives a shite about the longhorn Network? Even if they were rolling people like Alabama why would anyone but Texas fans watch it?

For once we agree on something. I hope Herman has seen a game in Tiger Stadium, and can compare to Texas. If I have to hear one more lying sack of shite ESPN/Longhorn Network announcer lie about LSU, I am going to vomit.

Read thread.

A financial interest in a conference is a lot different than a financial interest in a team.

ESPN has a financial interest in The Texas Longhorns.

Do yall really need to have this spelled out? The SECN doesn't skip a beat if LSU has a few mediocre years. The Longhorn network is 100% levered to the success of the Texas football team. Jesus.

The SEC network gets great ratings. Not so much the Longhorn Network, which as the name suggests, requires UT to be good for it to be relevant.
