Dream/Nightmare scenario

My dream scenario:
Texas hires Chip Kelly
Jimbo stays at FSU and doesn't go to Texas (don't want him and Saban recruiting Louisiana)
Herman falls into LSU's lap and we have Herman/Aranda
Nightmare scenario:
Texas hires Herman, Herman steals Aranda
Sexton uses LSU to leverage more money/resources for Jimbo at FSU
LSU settles on O with the stipulation that he gets Kiffin
Kiffin takes UH head coaching job
LSU becomes laughing stock
Texas hires Chip Kelly
Jimbo stays at FSU and doesn't go to Texas (don't want him and Saban recruiting Louisiana)

If we are dreaming that Kelly wants to return to college, I take Kelly in a heartbeat over just about any other coach in the country.

Maybe. I think the toughest thing about Chip coming back is the timing. I don't think he agrees to anything before the NFL season is over and I don't see LSU or Texas waiting until that point to hire a coach. It's unfortunate, because I think Chip Kelly is good for college football,

Fedora is kinda nightmarish. His recruiting is eh, his contempt for Defense is worrisome
I think he could be ok, but he would have to be willing to change his O slightly. You need to be flexible in the sec. Bama is a really good example of that, they can go fast on you or slow it up. He likes to just go fast by his own admission and is ok with giving up 35 or so a game which is not ok here

Paying 7 or 8 mil for the right coach plus championships is pocket change compared to the $ it would bring in to the school with the success. True story : Les at LSU for 2 years about to go into his 3rd, Sexton calls LSU to see if there's any chance Saban could return because it didn't work out at Miami. I'm not Skip but I would've bought out Miles' contract for the remaining 3 years and hired Saban. He left LSU for the NFL I get it. When Saban left he was the best HC in CF then. Some may say that would be unethical to do that but CF is a big business and it would've been the right move, no hindsight but the right move. We wouldn't be where we are today if that scenario happened back then. With that said either Herman or Jimbo is the right move, I hope it's Herman.

-Texas fails to hire any top names for 2 months and then ends up hiring the soberest looking homeless guy they can find.
-Orgeron and Saban resign to begin astronaut training for the brand new MFL. Also Joe Alleva is named commissioner of the MFL.
-LSU hires a coach. Half of the fans are angry at the choice, but the coach turns out to be good and LSU wins national championships.
Nightmare:
-Texas hires somebody good and doesn't look like a bunch of assholes doing it. Obviously this is the most farfetched part of this post.
-Jimbo stays at FSU and wins another national championship. Orgeron becomes head coach at some small school and wins a lot. It turns out Saban is actually 20 years younger than everybody thought.
-As a money saving measure, LSU partners with Tigerdroppings to let ranters coach.
