Bama lost 3 games with Nuss as OC

2012 A&M: L 24-29
431 total yards
34 passing attempts 309 yards
31 rushing attempts 122 yards
(Bama D allowed 418 yards)

2013 Auburn : L 28-34
495 total yards
29 passing attempts 277 yards
35 rushing attempts 218 yards
(Bama D allowed 296 rushing yards)

2013 Oklahoma: L 31-45
516 total yards
30 passing attempts 387 yards
35 rushing attempts 129 yards
(Bama D allowed 429 yards)

Doesn't seem like Nuss's offense was what caused Bama to lose. But nobody wants to blame King Saban's defense.

from an SECr thread

bama fans wanting Nuss gone are INSANE

I agree. I also think he is very replaceable. It's not like we are going to change our playing calling, and talent will never be an issue. I just wish we weren't going to hire Kiffen.

How did we only rush for 129 yards vs OU? Henry had 100 alone.

It was 172 total but AJ getting sacked 7 or whatever times took 43 off of that.

I don't want him gone. He has done a solid job. But he is not the reason our offense has been excellent either. Our offense is excellent because it is loaded with elite talent.

And despite the good offensive numbers against AU and OU, the offense also choked in key situations like in the redzone against AU and AJ getting sacked 7 times against OU and facing a pass rush as brutal as I have seen since UGA v. Hawaii.

I thought Bama's O would suck when McElwain left. Or so I was told by TigerDroppings.

Funny how a school pushed out an OC that did his best to feature their Heisman candidate QB.
