**Disclaimer**- completely hypothetical question. There is a 0% chance Saban would leave Bama for LSU.

But does Alleva at least call Saban to get a feeler for any interest level? I'd love to hear that conversation

Saban gave up his Championship Crystal ball to a Gov auction that he got at LSU. Hes not coming back

No. Alleva considers himself a serious man. He doesn't want to be a punchline.

I would call him just to make Bama pony up another extension for him

I think it's worth making a call to Jimmy Sexton. He's the best college coach in the business. Make a run at him. Yeah, there's a 99.99999 percent chance Saban will say no, but you never know.

You can't leverage an AD into more money if they don't take the threat of leaving seriously

It sure worked on Alleva in 2012 with the Arky job

Not the coming back part but the crystal ball part? Seriously?

Because Miles going to Arkansas, or Saban going to Texas for that matter, is a conceivable possibility.

You people are insufferable. I stated in the OP that there is no chance Saban comes back to LSU.

I simply asked if Alleva would at least call him about it. You know, since he's the best coach in football and we would be trying to make a splash hire.

I asked because I think it would be funny and an interesting conversation, not because I want some sliver of hope that we'll get him. I know he's not even a .00001% chance (as stated in OP). But carry on.

Joe: Hey Nick, know of any coaches who might be interested in the LSU job?

Nick. Can I put you on hold for a minute and call Jimmy?

Joe: Ok Nick, take your time.

Nick: Hey Joe, I'm back. Jimmy says Houston Nutt is available and has a strong interest. He's a good guy, you might want to give him a call.

You have to make Belichick say no, before Saban.
