He already fricked it up once by thinking a good ole ball would work. Guess Temple and the clan ran out of players.
Someone please get this clown out of here and back to Duke

He gets the blame for Trent but thats about it.

I dont like Alleva either but the truth of the matter is that JJ was forced upon Alleva by Temple and the crew. Fargas was a homerun hire at the time. He had no idea she would get pregnant and lose steam on the recruting trail.

That's the problem.

Good AD's don't have coaches "forced" on them. Good AD's are in control of things within their job description.

A good AD would have had Dale Brown and Collis Temple come to him and make demands, and he would have calmly said "Fellas, I'm gonna hire a coach so good you won't be able to help yourselves you'll be so happy, and he's going to win at a level that makes us all proud to be Tigers.

"But that coach is going to have a resume a lot better than Johnny Jones' is. I thank you for your input, but I'm thinking a little bigger. Good day to you."

And if he gets pressure from above, he responds with "You either let me do my job, or I will resign right here and now and you'll have to hire an AD as well as a hoops coach. What's it gonna be?"

That's the kind of man who's worth paying 750K a year to run a $140 million athletic department. What we have is a careerist functionary who's worth paying 75K a year for a job where he doesn't have to make any important decisions.

I hate to say it, but I really don't think Alleva will fire Jones any time soon tbh

LSUAD is not going to put out big bucks for a MBB HC. That's why new have JJ now as Alleva would not go where he needed to go to get a bigtime HC 4 years ago.

It seems that is SOP for Alleva. I would just as soon leave JJ in place until Alleva is gone and let a competent AD make the replacement hire. Alleva is nowhere near qualified or competent enough to be trusted. He has proven that beyond any doubt.

It is too bad LSU would not search for a competent AD now, and have him already on board to handle the hiring of a new men's basketball coach.

But we can only dream.

You Morons really think they are going to upset the Athletic Department for Basketball which is like the No.4 Sport at the school. You know the old saying throwing out the baby with the bath water this would really be it. There are only about 2-3 people that care about basketball and I am not one. You guys need to take that crap somewhere else.

Not only that, but would any top Coach want to come here and fail? Some people don't want to hear this, but we are not a basketball school! We had some good runs through the years, but we will never be mistaken for a basketball school...
