Not sure how much staff change the new HC will bring to TAMU, but would LSU take a look at Durkin? Obviously the heat stroke scandal is a consideration, but TAMU has a great defense this year. Might be able to bring some talented transfers to LSU as well?

We should take a look but I am really curious to see if BK moves on from House. He may get another year.

Hopefully the Ags will chime in on this. I am curious how much credit Durkin is handed.

I don't think I can watch another season with House running the defense. I don't see how you justify keeping him another year.

Like Brian Kelly, Durkin has also killed a student, so I can see the fit.

Even if you look at Matt House through the most charitable lens possible (JK Johnson broke leg, Maason Smith injury, Denver Harris thug, Duce Chestnut attitude problem, Jimmy Lindsey cancer, Greg Brooks cancer)... he still has to be fired for the lack of fundamentals and effort displayed on the field.

It doesn't matter that they aren't a talented defense as much as it matters that they don't play hard or appear to know basic fundamentals.

Also, Durkin has an even more punchable face than House so I think we need someone else.

Same. Like House, he rode one great season up the ladder. That’s not enough to prove that a DC can be consistently good to great, especially in the SEC.

Didn't he have good defenses at Florida and Michigan?

LSU would cruise the NCG with that Defense.

I've already said, sign me up. Beggars can't be choosers and at this point I'm begging. Qe don't have to be #1 in defense, we just can't be #100 or worse in defense.

Or at least still be in the CFP conversation, you'd hope.

I'm interested in knowing why other posters dislike his defenses.

Y'all can have him. He hasn't fielded a defense worth a shite since he killed that kid. It took 4 games this year for him to start using a stable of 5 star DLs and abandon the stupid 3-5 base he was constantly using (that he still runs). There was a hit piece article I had trouble finding that showed how he hasn't fielded a top 80 defense in almost a decade.

There are a few players that could use a killing. He could be the man for the job

He was a fantastic DC at Michigan. He'd be high on my list.

Yeah, face punchability is the reason to hire or not hire a DC.
