To me it looked like a man about to retire! I do not think that the administration would take a slap in the face from the players by letting them carry him off the field if he was in deed getting fired.

I think he is retiring due to health reasons and he hand picked Jimbo as his successor and this will all end up being blamed on bad media speculation!
