Our WRs improved this season. He put Malachi's arse on the bench for acting like a diva

I'm not sure we should fight to keep him. He's well paid for what he does

Craig wants to be OC. That's why he left FSU and AU. Problem is, both places didn't think he could cut it. Seems like the same is happening at LSU.
Time for the "Great Recruiters" that can't competently coach their position and develop their athletes to depart for greener pastures.

Wouldn't mind seeing LSU bring in former Saints WR Coach/Tulane HC Curtis Johnson in. (As discussed elsewhere on here tonight)

Or another experienced WR Coach that has actually played and coached the position in College and/or the NFL....................

Myself like everyone else is thinking Curtis Johnson. Guys that downvoted my post should really take a hard look at Craig's last few jobs, every year or two it seems like a change. I like Craig don't get me wrong but he wasn't near as valuable as Frank Wilson and although I was a little butt hurt that Wilson left, he got a great opportunity to fulfill his dream and maybe one day come back home. Craig has been a Co-OC and apparently didn't cut it under Jimbo or Malzahn.

Look the last thing we need with all the staff changes we've had this year is a diva assistant coach trying to hold us hostage and take advantage of the situation of transition when the consensus for this staff and team is to weather the storm and stay together. LSU recruits itself folks, on the recruiting side, lets not forget we have Austin Thomas back and that dude seriously holds in weight in gold as far as recruiting goes.

He has 2 guys from Mobile committed. He's kept lsu in the mix for Smith. not saying the guy isn't replaceable but he's done a good job recruiting.

To your point, yes, the Mobile two is a big plus. But a guy with closer ties to the Southern Louisiana area (like Curtis) may have resulted in the two players from Mobile going elsewhere while two 5* guys from South Louisiana (you know who) may have come to LSU instead of going to play for the great Satan.

Craig isn't anything but a well-dressed recruiter. He brings nothing else to the table.

Our WRs played a hell of a lot better this year after he was gone.

so you talking loyalty, say you working a 12 an hr job and you get offered 700k a yr you would turn it down to stay loyal to your current company? it one thing in coaching to go out west where you will not be in the thick of it for championships but if he getting a major raise then yah it something to think about but this is lsu where they treat you good and have a good shot to compete for championships. your loyalty comment makes no sense

If Craig wants to go, just let him go, we recruited fine if not better at the WR position before him and will continue that trend after him.
Let him go. He's strictly a "Recruiter."

Bring him up to Oregon Willie.

LSU can then hire Curtis Johnson. CJ is a "Dual Threat" coach that can recruit and also effectively coach/develop his position athletes.

He would be a huge upgrade over Craig..............
