Fisher is not going to give a shite about coaching against his good "buddy" Saban, give me a break

You do know that I'm talking about his NFL record right?

Yes I did, what I was saying is that his first 2 years in the NFL were good but last year and this year so far are far from being good, and even though in a different league Miles was great his first 6 years but his last 5 haven't been great obviously why he was fired.

That is not the reason he won't be taking the job at LSU, those reasons are pretty simple. FSU is a great coaching gig, great football program, recruits extremely well, plays in the ACC so it is an easier path to college football playoffs, only has 1 to 2 teams to ever worry about in the ACC, and most importantly FSU will match whatever offer we make Fisher. The playing Saban aspect is just one aspect of a decision but to think that would not be an aspect, I feel you would be wrong.

I also think it is bs that him having an "easier" road to the championship would hold him back too. Coaches have egos, they should not fear competition, but thrive on it. He learned how to recruit and coach in this conference and knows it like the back of his hand...plus he has mad love for LSU. I'm not saying he leaves for FSU but I think your reasons are way off base

Chip Kelley is one of my top choices. Nick Saban would loose sleep when he has to play LSU.

Kelly is 53. He's close to out of his prime. We should hire no one over 45.

If you punch your ticket to the playoffs are you really that stupid as to think it will be discounted because it is through the ACC??? The game is about winning championships period end of story. If you don't think a coach, other than Beliema, what other coach has come into the SEC from a Power 5 conference whose team had a serious chance to win their conference championship and National Championship on a consistent basis? I will help you with that answer it is ZERO!

So you think Fisher is saying "you know my national title in 2013, it really doesn't have much merit because I didn't win it going through the SEC?" I can promise you it makes a HUGE difference and is a big part of where you want to coach, winning championships. It is an easier road to the college playoffs being one of the dominant teams in the ACC only "most of the times" having 1 maybe 2 teams you have to beat. The more titles "ACC & National" Jimbo wins the bigger his contracts become. It does not take a genius to figure that one out. I am not saying he wouldn't be successful at LSU, I firmly believe he would, what I am saying "for all the reasons I gave in the original post" he won't be coming to LSU.

You do realize Saban was older than that when Alabama hired him.

and imo that is getting really close to the cut off age as to what is the ceiling of the age limit that should be hired.

One thing I'd love to see Kelly do is come back and bring Adam Henry back with him too. Move D Craig to something else.

Well crap never mind. Henry isn't with niners anymore.

Henry is with the Giants now as I am sure you are aware, so he ain't coming back to LSU to coach WR's unless he gets fired from the Giants and that doesn't seem likely since Henry coached Beckham at LSU. So what do you like to happen now that the Kelly/Henry scenario would be extremely unlikely if we were to get Kelly?
