Then what the hell are y'all bitching about???? The fact that Arkansas and aggy lost bowl games??? Seems like some of y'all are just bitching to bitch.

Look, if Orgeron does a shitty job then I'll be the first one to say so, but I'm not gonna pull stuff out of the air to say "see he shouldn't have gotten the job!" That's pointless. He's our coach. He's not my choice either, but he's our coach now and I too, hope I'm wrong. I just know the nonstop complaining is not gonna help anything. It gets old

So we are just concerned about his stint at ole miss? Got it. I agree that's not a good indicator.

In the meantime, I'm more interested in how he runs our program day to day. I'm willing to see how the staff shakes out and what signing day looks like before I get my blood pressure up over stuff that happened 10-12 years ago. That doesn't mean it's certain to be the same result. I don't think there's any value in assuming that. Let's see how he does for the next two months. I think that's fair

Plenty of people can, there are several more qualified people out there and LSU focused apparently on two.

This is true and nothing can change that at this point....

He lost two games at USC and LSU this year, as I said over the course of the year that is a 3-4 loss team. Basically what LSU is replacing in Les Miles since Saban broke Les on 1/9/2011.....

The past is a great indicator of future success considering how many jobs he was passed over and what not....

It may not, I said his ceiling is 10 wins, that isn't the same as Ole Miss, it is actually better. But is it better than what we fired Les for?

Nah, i prefer to speculate like everyone else

I agree the search was a joke. I'm as disappointed as anyone about that.

No I'm not new lol, I just know the constant negativity sucks the fun out of any of this

I guess the difference between bitching and criticizing is the eye of the beholder

Most pro O people have dismissed his record at Ole Miss because it was a long time ago and point to his record as Interim both at LSU and USC. However if you look deeper than just 6-2, 5-2 you'd see he just beat a bunch of mediocre/bad teams with enormously talented rosters, losing to 4 of the 5 quality teams he faced. The Bowl collapse of Arkansas only accentuates that fact and may expose it to some who didn't want to look deeper.

The reality of his records at USC and LSU is that over the course of the season he is not much better than the one he replaced. I think Les if he had stayed would have had a similar record as O... maybe 3 losses instead of 2 and same at USC.
So did he really "improve" the clubs or did he just do what studies have proven, he provided a jolt but it eventually faded?
Hell I think Dabo is the most successful interim coach after replacing Bowden but that is few and far between. Could O become that? Maybe but studies show he is more than likely not to be....

If he is then everyone will enjoy eating crow because it means LSU is challenging for a NC.

Well I guess Saban's wins aren't really that impressive either

Sure, these teams don't light the world on fire, but they certainly aren't void of talent. O and this team didn't just beat the majority of these teams...he beat the shite out of them. As he should have. Would Miles have? Hell naw

Well ultimately what Miles would've done is unknowable. But it's not unreasonable to believe that this team would've ended up 8-4 or 9-3. That's right in line with his recent performance. Don't know how some are so convinced that we were headed to 6 losses, when he's literally never had a 6-loss season at LSU.

O was a bad hire, but the Florida game was a fluke.

If Orgeron gets to SECCG is it still a bad hire?

If Orgeron wins 11 games is it a bad hire?

Damn you people are never ducking happy are you? No wonder some Louisiana kids are leaving.

Les was 10-8 over last 2 full seasons and 2 games this year against sec competition. Don't act like Bama was the only team beating him. And nobody has as much talent as lsu outside of Bama in the sec. very few teams can compete talent wise with lsu in the nation so 10-8 isn't good enough

Are you serious?? He likely would have lost ALL those games! You forget how bad this team was headed!! Les Miles as a head coach was for all practical purposes, was finished as a coach after last season- any wonder he can't get a job now? No one wants him! Screw that damn Les Miles!

It's likely Miles ended up with the same record but you gotta at least give CEO a full season too get the full binder implemented. Florida was the kick in the gut, should've won that game.

If canada can do something with the Qb's then the skies the limit. LSU will always have great skill position players but add in a QB that can get them the ball and look out.
