He will cost at least 2 million less than Herman or Jimbo

I like O and was happy when they brought him here, but I don't recall hearing one person say that they wanted him to be the head coach for years to come before Les was fired. Now all of a sudden, we've had the answer all along coaching our D-line. He may be a much better head coach than he was when he won 3 SEC games in 3 years at Ole Miss, but we have to wait and see. He did good as the interim coach at USC, but the guy who replaced Sark went 6-2 as well, became head coach, and is 1-3 this year at USC.

I really think our team will play with more passion and have more accountability under O in the meantime, but we have to see how he manages being over the program and see if he gives us advantages with Xs and Os. As LSU fans, we love someone that hasn't really had their opportunity, but are quick to turn on them when they make mistakes when given an opportunity. Coach O will be no different. It will be interesting and exciting either way.

Or how about at least a game? Some people are acting like the man has already won a NC

and they're the same Rantards who wanted Aranda to be designated as HC-in-waiting....... before he coached a single down for us and in spite of the fact that Aranda has zero head coaching experience.

The instant love affair with anyone wearing purple and gold is a bit hard to take sometimes.

Even if O wins the SEC, Herman should be the first pick. There is a difference between running the program as THE HC and running it as an interim. These kids will be playing full of emotion and with the talent and experience, and tweaks in the offense, they could legit turn it around. The problem is though, what happens when all that is gone? We lose a shite ton off this team, and the emotion will die off.

If you can get Herman, GET HIM. LSU has a golden, truly golden opportunity. That chance will likely be gone after this year. Don't let it slip away just because O is "one of us", and whatever transpires this year.

Alleva better have already gotten Herman to agree to come here. If he hasn't, he needs to be the next to go.

See......O's Ole Miss coaching stint. However, I think he's just the person to get things turned around and headed in the right direction for a new HC.

I don't think with his history at Ole Miss, this will happen. You have to lean on his history as a HC

Really it doesn't matter to me what Orgeron does. Go with the coach with the proven history of success over the long run.

You can't hand the keys of a major college football program to a coach with a good 2 month sample size, when there are coaches with years of proven excellence. Makes no sense unless we miss out on our primary targets.

It comes down to this, are we emphasizing results or the process? If the process matters to you, go with the guy that has proven his process works. If short term results are what matters, go with Coach O if he goes 6-2.

With all due respect to coach O, he doesn't have a prayer unless we get to top 4.

Since we have sooooo many big money boosters who cant wait to send money to LSU, we have to make Nick say no and then Jimbo and maybe even UM. After that, who in the hell knows.

I hope that is the case. But based on what Random LSU Hero stated, there are many boosters who like the idea of O being HC.

Thats not good, not good at all.

How is that passion thing working for Johnny Jones?

Johnny needs to follow Miles out the door. We only have two seasons now. Football and baseball. Basketball will not draw 3000 fans per game this season. What a fricking waste.
