Coach Conspiracy Theory. Credible?

Elko was in on the recruitment of all the defensive studs.
Ags are getting negative attention from all quarters (!) about their goings on.
He knows where all the bodies are buried!
He knows which boosters were doing/paying what. Maybe he will take the Duke job---or any other for that matter---to get out of there so he doesn't catch the brunt of the carnage that truly begins on ESD.
Credible TD? Stranger things have happened.
EDIT: Just saw the hiring. I came to that part a little late...But why would he go to Duke when the dude could be up for P5 jobs? (Well a more competitive team year in year out than Duke)

Duke is a private school with little football success. Elko gets a nice salary, maybe even free ride for kids if he has any to Duke, 7-5 record is considered great and any success is a ticket to better jobs. Or Duke is so happy with any success he gets to stay even longer. Looks like a win win situation for Elko.
