I live in Austin and I can tell you the chances dropped dramatically yesterday when UT voted to keep President Powers. Wallace Hall is the Regent trying to get CNS however now that Powers was voted back in Hall's days as a Regent are all but over since Powers will testify into his ethics probe next week.
Wallace Hall is at best a eunick. He is under investigation and may be impeached for withholding information from the Texas Senate during his confirmation hearing. Granted he was the regent who was involved in the communication with Sexton early in 2013, but he is the last person that CNS or Sexton would want to be associated with currently. Hall is essentially a Rick Perry waterboy and it is assumed that he will be rewarded for his role in trying to get Powers fired. But for now, Wallace is too busy trying to save his arse to help recruit CNS.
Red McCombs, now is another matter and I'm told he is hell-bent on sealing the deal with CNS. We'll see what happens.

This smacks of bullshite. No signed contract, but wealthy UT boosters have already laid out millions to cover his debt?
Does this make sense to anyone?

Who knows if there's a contract signed already? I don't. You don't.

I would think any contract he signed for anyone other than Bama, while still working at Bama and under contract wouldn't be worth the paper it's written on. Just speculation and I have no clue about that, legally, but common sense says I am right.

If Saban signed a contract with Texas before terminating his contract with Alabama, then they can enjoy the lawsuit heading their way.
Which would be doubly stupid since Saban can terminate his contract without penalty since he has no buyout.

So you are saying there is a chance!

You're right: we don't. But I do know that intentional interference with an existing contract and/or business relationship is a tort in most states, including Alabama and Texas. Why would anyone risk that exposure?

Let's see if you can figure that out on your own.

TheDoc is BTT V2.0. The only thing that will start next week will be TheDoc claiming to have trolled the world, when the reality is that he's eaten up with bitterness over Saban being so successful at Bama.

I'd say the chances are about 0. =)
