The good news is that we get to watch a Texas or Alabama melt regardless. What Texas lacks in mouth breathing intensity, they make up for in sheer numbers. It should be spectacular viewing.

In truth, the question is whether Texas is making the effort we think they are/will.
If they throw a big offer at Saban, I think he'll consider it, and I think it'll be 50-50.
So, assuming Texas has a real interest in doing that, I still think there is a reasonable chance something happens.

I'm much less confident about it than I was 24 hours ago, based on new information I received. But make no mistake, things have been put in place for it to happen. Assistant coaches have been offered jobs on staff. This is standard kind of stuff when there's a chance of coaching changes and coaches are considering a potential move. But based on new things I've learned today, I have to say I believe he stays.
