If he wins this weekend. Also look at who is said to have been pursuing Herman the most.

Nah man, sources on here told me Herman isn't even on LSU's board.

Two sources told HD Herman’s agent tried to get word to Texas on Monday asking if there was any interest in Herman, because Herman was already receiving serious interest from other schools. The sources said the most serious interest was coming from LSU.

The article ended saying John Harbaugh was on the list for UT. LOL

I’m hearing Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh is on the radar of UT intermediaries and that Harbaugh might have reciprocal interest. … I’ve also heard UT intermediaries are showing interest in Clemson’s Dabo Swinney.

Fenves has to show his authority but he also has to maintain relationships with the $$$$ men because UT is entering into a big capital campaign

Perrin isn't helping matters by being so weak and hanging Strong out to dry

Here is my concern with all this. It has been reported that Texas is Herman's dream job. If Texas passes on Herman and he comes to LSU, would he leave in a few years if Texas came calling? I want a coach whose dream job is LSU and wants to be here long term. Not a stepping stone to coach at Texas.

Not if we convince him to hire Sexton as his agent

Listen, this is pretty simple.

Charlie Strong doesn't keep his job if Tom Herman, Jimbo Fisher, another college coach of that caliber or an NFL coach tells Texas they're interested. Texas will have national championship caliber talent for the next 2 years.

If Strong stays, it's because coaches are telling Texas no. That would additionally mean that Herman has told Texas no.

If Tom Herman is LSU's head coach, it's because he chose LSU over Texas.

Do you think that it's possible that Chip Brown is simply a useful idiot?

He's badly wrong a lot, and his sources appear to be shite that he's read on message boards.

This looks good for us, but I can't find myself getting excited for a Chip Brown exclusive.

Even if LSU wasn't going after Herman. His agent would be stupid not to use LSU as leverage.

What other schlool can he use? Baylor isn't much leverage, and Oregon isn't even on the market yet that we know of.

He's not useful.

No, I don't believe a word Chip Brown says. My previous post still stands, however: if Charlie Strong is retained, it's because Texas were turned down. There's no way they don't reach out to Herman before making a decision, one way or the other.
