That's because Chavis's inability to get the defense off the field barely gave the offense any time to operate. We'd be better off just going for an onside kick everytime and committing a personal foul to give the opposing team the ball on our side of the field.
He's not terrible, but I can't stand that defensive philosophy.

Im still trying to figure out why people want Chavis gone. Crowton i understand, but our Defense was greatly improved and he's only had one year to put his system in.

crowton is the 1 that needs 2 go. as mentioned earlier, chavis has a problem getting the defense off of the field but other than that the D is much improved from last season

Seems to be a lot of apathy towards Chavis, probably his style of defense. Not sure who LSU could get to replace him. Don't think he deserves a raise to stay, but wouldn't kick him out the door either.
