Oeaux indicated at his presser that in this day and age he believes that you have to run a spread offense.

So how the hell does Canada fit that mold.

I was behind Oeaux, but now it seems he just throwing shite on a wall to see what sticks.

There really was no "master-plan" in that binder.

This is absolutely atrocious for a program like LSU.

O has contradicted himself a couple of times as to what he wants so don't be shocked by that

People are just now realizing this?

A lot of us have been saying some variation of "O has no vision" or "O has no singular idea of how he approaches a football game."

And that's precisely what great coaches do. I don't see how anyone could have been convinced otherwise, honestly.

Right, I agree. Canada and Helfrich are apples and oranges, which isn't to say one is better than the other. But very different in philosophy. It should be extremely simple for O to identify which of he two philosophies he wants and to make that hire.

Canada hired = we likely sign Brennan and run a power spread. Helfrich hired = we may sway Narcisse back and run a more read option true spread.

t's an unreal creative & balanced attack:

-Pitt had 2700 yds rushing and 2,600 yds passing.
-42 points per game.
-82% red zone efficiency
-11 Tds in one game.
-Play designs are so creative and diverse/multiple, it's hard to sack the QB. They only gave up 9 sacks all year.

Canada runs lots of motion, mis direction, unbalanced lines, and lots of different personnel packages. I would be estactic if we got him.

O was saying that because of Kiffin. He thought he was getting hima nd that's what he wanted him to say. Now he needs to suck it up and hire the best OC and get the ship righted

That is a good question. Hopefully either Canada and/or Helfrich wants the job. Either can design an SEC offense to win. That is what great OC's do, and should not be one trick ponies.

Actually he does. Please Pitt v Clemson. He mixes in some spread. But his base offense is pro style. Review

I mean, Chandler Harnish was NIU's leading rusher under Canada. And Jordan Lynch ran the same offense there. They sure as hell weren't your traditional, under-center, dropback QBs. They were running out of a spread.

And Helfrich didn't start running spread full time until he got to Oregon. He was calling plays at ASU with Andrew Walter and Rudy Carpenter. Those were pro-style QBs that were actually on active NFL rosters.

I think it would be more accurate to say they cater their offense to the team they have.
