How would you feel about coach O being our coach?

What if Jimbo Fisher was hired at LSU and made the same exact hires?

Agree with ipodking. I was hoping O and OC could come up with something better or have a backup plan. We had some chances and missed which is on the players, but we didn't help create more chances with play selection.

I'm desperate to keep our D staff together.

We will be much better with a Defensive minded Head Coach finding the right OC and keeping our DC, than we would be with an Offensive minded coach trying to bring in his own DC.

Did our administration let our last HC bring in his own DC? What makes you think that would happen?

So what happens when those assistants inevitably take other jobs? What about coach O has given you the inclination he can keep hiring elite assistants? What happens when he misses? Will he be able to compensate?

Any other option would be ok if Aranda and O remain on the staff, otherwise, it is not worth it.

Why? Because of recruiting? Were we just completely incompetent in recruiting before O got here? So much so that we would keep a dline coach as head coach out of fear? What is wrong with some of you?

Oh, and Aranda is gone regardless by either next year or 2018. The only thing that will keep him beyond that is to make him head coach. You can get it out of your head if you're thinking he's going to stay a DC long like Chavis or something.

Of a Defensive Minded coach wasn't to run the defense his way where as an offensive minded coach realizes you don't mess with a good thing and keeps our staff.

Exactly. If anything, Aranda what be a key piece to draw in a good offensive minded coach.

This is all kinds of wrong. Look at the current top 25 and list all the offensive minded head coaches. Then do the same for the defensive ones.

Aranda is under contract for 2 more years with a 100k increase each year. Unless he gets a HC job this year, he is still at LSU and not one head coach we bring in would try to get rid of him. You go get an O minded HC, preferably spread because that's what beats Bama, and then you go to work with all this talent we waste yearly.

No. Orgeron is done as a HC candidate.

On paper, he was never a candidate. He was only considered in the event that he ran the table and put LSU in a position to win the SEC.

That didn't happen. And, any fair evaluation of the situation would be pretty obvious that Orgeron doesn't have the resume for this job.
