It has been reported that salary is only what ND has disclosed to the public. The salary is much higher than that.

He's a persnickety fellow, but if he can get it done, let's do it. He's probably still sour that he couldn't keep Elko at Notre Dame and lost him to a second tier SEC program.

They’re a private school… If you think that’s what he makes then I have some TBL info I want to sell you

That is only the published amount. He makes way more but nobody really knows the total

That's not accurate by an order of magnitude. Kelly makes similar money to Orgeron's post NC contract. ND is a private university and does not report coaches pay.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that Kelly is not leaving Notre Dame until he is ready to retire from coaching. 15 million a year from LSU is not going to pull him from South Bend.

I would be happy with Brian Kelly. Notre Dame is a tough place to coach at, he would do great at LSU.

And if you add up all his wins for the past 5 years you get his age. no way we throwing all the eggs in basket for a 60 year old coach.

Kelly is a flaming a-hole.

But honestly, that's exactly what LSU's program needs. It's going to take an a-hole to clean up that crappy team culture 17 years of nice morons have allowed to fester.

I don't think he's an 8-year, $100 million contract, though. I think he's a 5-year, $55 million contract given his age. And you're probably hiring an offensive coordinator with an eye toward grooming that guy to take over.

I want to see us get a coach who is serious about our program, produces success, and wants to stay for awhile. Really no more goof balls like Miles or O, please.

If you believe Moscona, he was originally interested in the job then backed out due to expectations.

He’s fat and happy at ND

And before his Notre Dame run...

...at Cincy, Kelly went:
10-3
11-3
12-0

Almost identical to Fickell's celebrated totals.
