Has his name come up for any HC gigs? He has done a great job at OU and now Clemson, but I haven't heard a peep.

He's under serious consideration at UVA. Also, if/when KSU comes open, he'll be a leading candidate.

Venables strikes me as a Bud Foster type. He's been mentioned for HC gigs throughout the year but has never seemed to be a viable candidate.

IMO Venables is better DC than Mikey. Mikey is a raving lunatic like Leavitt was which makes him a better fit for HC than Mikey or Leavitt.

I really expected to see him considered for the South Carolina job. Seems like a good fit, in a state he is familiar with.

He would never pass our vetting process.
He had 2 solid years at clemson and was garbage for the first 2 years. He rode Stoops coattails at OU for years, he only had one Top25 when Stoops left for Arizona. They wanted him gone at OU when he took that clemson job.
