Caveat - I foresee a number of scenarios in which Wilson can be retained and LSU should make every reasonable effort to do so. However, at some point, the right OC or HC offer may finally turn his head enough for him to take his shot elsewhere.

And I'm not talking about RB coach, necessarily, but I'm talking about replacing him as a recruiter - a chief recruiter.

Obviously if we lose Wilson, but retain Orgeron, BeBe can slide into that RC/Associate HC role really easily.

But, I think we should dust off the Jabbar Juluke resume. He is also a RB coach (La Tech), but he has coached about every skill position, both sides of the ball, except QBs (in high school, at least). He's even been a DC in high school and head coached at Karr for 9 years. He may have even coached with Wilson at OP Walker, but I'm not sure of the timeline.

Any other suggestions for a hotshot recruiter that can keep Louisiana talent at home?

Tim Brewster is the recruiting coordinator at Florida State. I would take him.

I posted this earlier. These are all coaches with ties to Jimbo and LSU except for Kendal Briles. This would be the greatest recruiting staff ever created and good coaches also. Fit Jabbar Juluke in somewhere and the dynasty will begin! Make it happen!

Rick Trickett- Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line
Jeremy Pruitt- Defensive Coordinator
Bill Miller -Linebackers
Kendal Briles- Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks
Tim Brewster- Assistant Head Coach/ Tight Ends
Dameyune Craig-Co-Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers
Ed Orgeron- Head Coach of Defense/Defensive Line
Frank Wilson- Running Backs/ Recruiting Coordinator
Corey Raymond- Secondary Coach
Joe Robinson- Special Teams Coordinator
Vic Vilori or Moffitt Strength & Conditioning Coach

What tie does Vic Vilori have other than being a moffit disciple?

I'm just going by the coaching titles that they had at Florida State.

Only reason I said Vic or Moffit is if Moffit left. I don't even know who Vic is. Just that he is the current S&C coach at FSU.

Same thing with the linebacker coach. I don't know anything about him. Only Linebacker coaches that I can think of that are good recruiters are Steele and BDP.

And Jimbo has two OC's. Coaching title doesn't mean much.

tim brewster, who is a HOF recruiter and better nationally than wilson

we would need a Nola-based guy though. if Curtis Johnson would lower himself he'd be perfect

And Brewster is a recruiting coordinator. It's a tougher job than most believe. There is a reason why they are paid so much. You are running a huge operation being a recruiting coordinator. Not everybody can do it.

I think it's the second most important position besides Head Coach. The reason I think Frank could be successful as a head coach is because of how well he has run the Recruiting Department. I believe he would be a much better Head Coach than he would as a coordinator.
