Any updates on LSU renewing Cam Cameron?

Seems like its going to get done, but why isn't it done yet? Whats the delay? Recruiting delaying any negotiations? Will they wait until after NSD to hash it all out?

Probably just waiting for recruiting to finish. Deal is probably done but Cam needs to clear his head and have time to talk to agent.

The longer it goes without him resigning, the more I think he gone after signing day.

His contract doesn't expire until the end of March

If Cam is gone, then who is OC? Seems like all the good candidates would be gone by then?

Good candidates probably will be gone. Josh Henson will be available. There's probably some out of work NFL OCs around that I don't know about. Mike Martz, off the top of my head. Some lower level college OC would be willing to jump ship - heck, we got Jimbo from Cincinatti.

I had understood as much...just figured why wait? Waiting until after NSD seems like a reasonable thing, as long as there aren't questions about Cam being back, and recruits are hanging on that circumstance.

Nah. Les has always made it a point to get guys moving in one direction or the other not long after the season. I really can't think of any coach moving on or coming in as late as February under Les Miles.
