he doesn't consider Jimbo Fisher an elite coach.

Yes, everyone has assholes and opinions.

Who's elite?

Saban/Harbaugh/Meyer?

We aren't getting those. Who left has a better resume than Jimbo?

I agree.

Elite: Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh

Next group: Fisher is in this group.

Seeing as the elite 3 aren't moving and coming to LSU, Fisher will do.

Didn't read but I'll take my chances anyway. The thought alone of having someone groom qbs and make them more than adequate is enough for me. I'm so burnt out on not having a passing game it's superseding everything else.

When Harbaugh wins a title I will consider him elite.

If Fischer was able to retain his DC, he'd be in that first tier

Yeah I don't see how you have Harbaugh as elite and not Jimbo.

See this is where I'm at too. Is Harbaugh a great coach? Absolutely. But call me when he starts dominating and winning a bunch of titles. Then we can talk about being in that elite group.

idk how you mofos don't think Fisher is elite

Urban Meyer is at his best when he had elite coordinators

Jimbo at minimum actually possesses a real skill of developing QBs and calling his own plays

not that they aren't elite, because they are. But Jimbo is elite in his own right too.

If winning titles isn't required to be considered elite you should include Shaw and Dabo in the group. Gary Patterson too. Mike Gundy. Bert Beliema. Dantonio.

Everyone I just listed has the same resume as Harbaugh in CFB

Since 2006 (10 years) there have only 5 coaches that have won national titles. Fisher is a part of that group and LSU just fired another member.

Obviously LSU isn't getting Meyer or Saban. I doubt they want to re-hire Miles, so I would say getting Fisher would probably be about as big a homerun hire as LSU could make.

As far as "elite" coaches, the list is VERY short behind Meyer and Saban.

Gene Chizik should be in that list if it is just about national championships.
