His recruiting will center around OL and tight ends which my Auburn friends say he does very well. I know some LSU fans think Miles is not a very good "coach" but I do think that he knows the Offensive Line and that this is where he does his most work. Grimes must mesh with his philosophy and will not be left alone to coach the OL for us. While maybe not a Home Run by himself I think for what we need at this position it's damn near one, especially considering what we had before both on the field and off.

If Miles is such an OL guru, why did he keep Stud for so long? The OL issues didn't just arise this season. Just a question.

It isn't a home run but this is a really good hire for you guys if you ask me. I think he is all about the pro style smashmouth blocking which wasn't what Malzahn likes in his offense. Grimes is a really good recruiter and he is a good guy too. You should be happy with this one.
