Agreed.

The top shelf that everyone speculates on almost never happens.

Texas ended up with Charlie Strong

Y'all are gonna do like UF - hire someone solid like McElwain and then be fricking disappointed because you set your sights so high

Depends on if the offense can actually run more than 20 different plays. Then I think you will see LSU fans happy

Doesn't matter, Les Miles is staying.

I just mean at first. Obviously UF fans aren't disappointed now, but they were then because they were being ridiculous with all the Chip Kelly, Jon Gruden, Harbaugh talk.

It almost never happens. Even Urban was just an up and comer from Bowling Green and Utah. Aside from Bama getting Saban (after 4 straight failed hires), when has it happened?

I wish people would quit mentioning Dantonio. He is old and has been having health issues. Why would anyone want to bring him in?

pretty much. After geting the cold shoulder from RichRod, Mal Moore camped out in a Miami hotel and waited for NFL season to end and bet the farm and worked a miracle.

LSU ain't that desperate yet

Why would any of those coaches be interested in the LSU job? I'm not trying to be a dick. I'm really interested in knowing. I just don't see any of those being realistic options.

As in why would they leave their current job?

Peterson has something going at Washington and is a Northwest guy.

Sean Payton: never in a million years

Chip Kelly: only if he was fired by the Eagles and I think he would take the USCw job in that scenario.

Richt: if fired maybe. Would hate that hire.

Patterson and Briles: they have it made where they are.

Jimbo: would love him don't see him leaving FSU.

Herman is my choice out of everybody realistically mentioned. Jimbo is my number 1 but I don't see that happening.

We have the SEC west version of him now at LSU...Hell if anything Miles has the advantage. Miles has won a Championship at least.

I would be happy with any one of these:
(In no particular order)

Larry Fedora
Chip Kelly (I doubt this happens)
Rich Rodriguez
Dave Doeren
Mark Helfrich
Chris Petersen (Prob not leaving)
Jimbo Fisher
Dan Mullen
Hugh Freeze (Prob not leaving)

The jury is still out on these coaches: Justin Fuente, Jeff Brohm (Not Brian Brohm WKU), PJ Fleck, Lance Leipold, Brian Harsin, Matt Rhule, Tom Herman, Gus Malzhan, Scott Frost, Scott Satterfield, Bob Stitt, Rod Carey, Chuck Martin, Matt campbell (Toledo) Dana Holgersen,

Although these guys are proven winners, I don't want: Mark Dantonio, Gary Patterson, or Art Briles because of their age.

And a big fat HELL NAW to Mark Richt..
