Its murder's row for coaches in the SEC with mercenaries like Patrino and Saban coming back. I would want to get out of the SEC also. Someone is going to have to lose.

I don't think it's bad feelings - I think it's more of a "been there, done that" mentality - and it also gives him another coach (and a different conference) to add to the "coached under" section of his resume.

exactly... and all he has to do is beat OU to go to a BCS game... easy move for him.

We may not have even asked if Tenuta is really our guy.

if it is Tenuta or a promotion from within, then it seems we didn't even try to get muschamp.

Yes. That's it ... bad feelings. He should probabaly talk to Dr. Phil about his bad feelings towards LSU.

Muschamp was probably never an option. Why would we get a coach with ties to the old regime? I'm pretty sure there would be glitches in that relationship. Les probably would have gotten rid of Jimbo when he first came here, too.

You hit the nail on the head with that statement.

Muschamp is a young coach that has worked under Saban, Tubberville, and Now will have worked unr Brown. That is a pretty strong Resume' if you ask me. He will be a head coach with 3 years in my opinion.

I don't know about anyone else, but if he is not with LSU then i'm glad to see him out of the SEC. He is a great coach and will be a great head coach some day. Best wishes to Coach Muschamp at UT.

For Muschamp to come back to LSU, it would be a stupid decision to come full circle to where you were three years ago. The move to Texas give him a chance to beef up the defense and get the credit if Texas can get back in the BCS Championship. He would not get the credit here - other than being the care taker of Bo's defense.

Its kind of tough to hire Muschamp 4 weeks after you have a done deal with Tenuta.

Muschamp will dominate the Big 12 with his zone blitzing, UT gets extremly good athletes that will make his system work really well. I wish he would have come back to LSU

Nope. He still loves LSU, as most coaches that I've talked with after leaving the Tigers. Many would come back in a second.

Why is there always something wrong with recruits or coaches that dont come to LSU. Or "bad feelings". I dont understand this thinking. I love LSU football as much as anybody but believe it or not, there are other capable places

Isn't Tubberville a defensive coach?

Isn't Saban a defensive coach?

Seems to me that Muschamp has always been under a head coach that could overrule him, or at least was qualified to.

Going to Texas, he finally is in charge of the whole ball of wax on defense. We'll see now how it goes. I like him, he's fun to watch, but I don't know if all the credit he's gotten has been totally earned (yet). I would take Tenuta over Muschamp in a heartbeat.

If its such a done deal...then why am I hearing and reading that Auburn is in the picture for Tenuta also?

Wasn't Gene Chizik the DC before the current DC at Texas? I think he is at Iowa St. now. Also, I remember Carl Reese used to be there too.

I would have loved to get Muschamp back, but oh well. We can do better I am sure.
