Not sure how many coaches at big time programs also double as an offensive coordinator, but many on this board stated that Miles would be running the offense for the Cotton Bowl and that is the best we have looked all year. Perhaps Miles could handle the job. Thoughts?

I think Miles makes a much better CEO style HC than one who takes on other responsibilities as well.

Miles is more of the CEO type. I don't think he wants those duties and I'm not so sure he can put together a cohesive set of plays.

Miles was an OC at OSU before being the HC and Im sure he was heavily involved in the play selection after becoming head coach. He has said many times he is heavily involved in the offense here at LSU and i wouldnt expect that to change with a new OC.

I can see Les having more say in the play calling if Gonzalez is promoted and a QB coach is brought in. At least for this year with the little experience Gonzalez has as OC.

he has done that for 6 years already. the oc here is just a name you don't really get to call plays.

He's enrolled in clock reading 101 for the spring semester.
