I don't post much so don't bitch about it. Frankly, I find the rantards' postings not worth replying to. Anyway...

Not SEC related now but I got a call from a colleague that Urban Meyer is definitely going to Ohio State. This is coming from an OSU AD insider. I am told the announcement could come as early as next week barring anything unexpected in the final negotiations. This may explain why Urban is being pulled from the OSU-Michigan ESPN game.

I told my OSU contact, "good for you, since OSU has had a terrible record against the SEC in bowl games..." (BTW, thanks ar-Kansas for shaming the SEC with that lost last year to OSU! They tried so hard to give you the game and you just kept refusing to win. Again, thanks CHOKE-N-SARS )

That said, I can see OSU going up from the bottom of the Big 10. That is until OSU has a losing season or 2 then Urban will play possum again (Elizabeth, I'm coming to join you... ala Fred Sanford.)

PS
Does anyone have a gif of Fred Sanford doing his fake heart-attack? Please post if you do.

Meyer's "health" problems just seem like bullshite at this point. Guy was just afraid he couldn't continue life without Tebow.

Yeah I think Meyer and Timmy "horsed around in the shower," a few times...

Meyer is a tool and belongs in that terrible state of Ohio. He knew his gimmicky offense wouldn't work without Tebow so he bowed out like the pansy egotistical douche he is.

Despite ESPN acting like Meyer is this guy with a moral code and always did things the "right" way on the recruiting trail, pretty much everyone in the SEC and state of Florida knew he was a scumbag. Goes to show you that OSU isn't really worried about actually changing the culture, just letting ESPN and Herbie convince everyone they have.

Didn't he win his first title with Leak at QB with Tebow only coming in on situational downs? I vividly recall losing to a UF team in the dessert who had a qb named Leak

His health problems are real. Now his desire to want to be with his family is fair game on the other hand.

Pat Dooley says Urban told him his doctors said coaching could kill him. I guess he thinks it's worth the risk.

It's very strange. I really don't know what to believe any longer.

Good luck and good riddance Coach. I hope you never beat a SEC team though.

No. LSU fans hate him because he found a way to flag a test score when the only way it can be done is with a computer that the testing company owns. He's that good.

Just saw on ESPN that Meyer has "accepted a deal in principle" to be Ohio State's head coach. So my OSU AD inside contact was reliable so far.

I hope Urban brings OSU down to the SEC for another beat down (sans the disgraceful loss by ar-Kansas last year).

However, if Urban has a bad season or 2, he will probably feign some health or family reasons to resign...

^This for the millionth time.

A lot of LSU fans on this board seem to care a lot though. The Saban thing is just (rightfully or wrongly) always going to sting, isn't it?

This, I'm sort of conflicted as well. Part of me appreciates what he did at UF, and I knew he'd coach at some point down the road. Sure wasn't thinking the OSU job would be a possibility at this point in time.

At the same time, I don't really care either way how he does. Doesn't help that he may go to Ohio State, who I absolutely cannot stand.
