I'm curious what the pay difference is between a good coordinator job like that and a position coach in the nfl.

California public colleges can't pay as much as the SEC. Jim Mora Jr made $2 .3 million this year. They extended his contract for six years recently to keep him at UCLA, but he's far below what big names in the SEC are paid. In fact, most PAC12 coaches are paid well below what SEC coaches are paid.
