Possibly no official announcement until the end of the week?

Miles and his assistants are expected to meet Monday as a staff, and a hire is likely to be made by the end of the week, sources said.

A hire made in a week is fine with me as long as its a good candidate

I hate that it is this way, but in this day and age of blogs, twitter and message boards, taking 10 days to evaluate 3-4 guys and make a decision is a recipe for disaster.

It is what it is.

I just asked a question. Is a week and half too long to find a competent DC?

What is wrong with a week an a few days process to hire a coach to run the defense? I don't understand why is this bothering some of you. I forgot some of you are douche.

You would to think that when Chavis did not sign his new contract that Miles had to know what was fixing to go down. I got to think a short list of reasonable replacements had to be in scratch somewhere on Miles desk. I hope the wheels were turning before Chavis signed with A/M???

The list was there but we have already observed CLM enjoys the game more than winning.

it appears he enjoys the interview process as much as hiring a candidate- a self inflicted wound

CLM never loses he finishes second. He loves the game of football, he loves game day I think more than winning a championship- It is the only answer that makes sense to his craziness

A&M and Auburn's searches took longer than this. They both did ok. We'll be fine.

If it is not decided by Jan 8 - Chicken will be looking at a late model GLF4 to replace his range limited GLF150 - he has got to do something with the additional advertising money TD will rake in.

Whether he enjoys it or not, this hire will make or break him in the next two seasons.
