If they can't hire smart in a matter of 24 hrs they should announce that he is not a candidate IMO
someone is about to get an offer to be our DC, once that comes out no-one has leverage for a raise. I don't know how coaching searches work, but I'm not sure if they would make an offer if they didn't believe he would take it.
a guy (forget this name) just said on 1045 that he believes (edit) it is Tuker their DC coach. That bears team is a dumpster fire and he has an LSU connection DB coach in 2000.

This would be Mel Tucker if the rumors are true. But it could be anyone from the NFL. They have kept things very close to the chest.

Smart can cancel the Smart Car order and get the Red Bentley with White accents thanks to LSU with this raise.
Whoever LSU hires it sounds like LSU will be keeping some of the assistants around until after signing day before releasing them.

Making SEC opponents pay more money to keep their assistants? Yeah that totally makes LSU look dumb. No one is gaining leverage on us. Others schools are LOSING leverage to their assistants and in return having to pay them more money.
