I mean, everyone knows I'm no Miles fan as a coach, but, I've also posted that I'm not going to play what if on this hire because really, hiring has not been Miles Achilles heel.

But, I frankly can't believe no one has been hired at this point? I'm hoping that it's because somehow, whomever he wants is still coaching in the NFL and he believes he's going to land the guy.

Is that what we're assuming at this point?

We don't have one because Les read mj2s thread and is traveling at 180 mph to save on fuel costs, but he keeps passing up the DCs houses that he's trying to get to in order to interview them.

When you interview folks that would have been a great hire and you pass on them ( for whatever reason) word gets out and your choices become limited-

Les may have one more lucky day in his future- we will see if he can still may a great hire

Last position I filled was for a 30K a year job, I had 150+ applicants and interviewed for 2 weeks before I picked the person, and then it took another week to hire them, then another 2 weeks before they came on board. This is a 7 figure a year position, it takes time. Just because you aren't in the know about things doesn't mean things aren't happening.

I suspect Les gives less than zero fricks what any of us think about the search.

He has it on lockdown. I'm amazed.

Don't get me wrong here. I am not saying the search has gone poorly. I mean, it might have, but we obviously have no way of knowing that at this point.

I'm just genuinely surprised at the time it's taken. I mean, this ain't the first coaching search I've seen in my lifetime. It seems this one is taking a bit longer than has been typical.

Just because you're a slow poke doesn't mean Les has to be.

Since this is a 7 figure a year position, there must be like 10,000 applicants to sort through!

Hmmmm... It took 13 days for Auburn to get their home run hire with Muschamp. It took aTm about 5 weeks to land their home run hire.

I think Les is determined to not have another Malveto-disaster again.
