Coachingsearch.com says he will interview for mississippi state DC job. Thought his name would come up at lsu after the job he did at tech this year. Brick Haley had also been mentioned by hanigriff as a candidate at moo state

Manny Diaz is a great coach, but his time at Texas says he struggles dealing with the big time. He can coach up the three stars for sure though.

He was their DC a few years ago before he left for Texas. He did a great job the first go around.

Diaz did a tremendous job at MSU, and he turned Tech's defense around in an impressive and quick fashion. The aberration in his resume was at Texas, which was a train wreck of a program. My guess is the hire would be a home run.

I know people around here raise tell when his name was mentioned for our job, but he would be a solid hire heading back to MSU for a second go round. The good thing for state is, he will be a lot less likely to jump at the first big offer if he does succeed after striking out big time at Texas.
