Ron Zooks interview with Green Bay Packers media. States he took off a year, came back in 2014 to coach with the Packers. During his year off he worked for CBS and studied a ton of college and pro film with John Gruden. Media states Zook was a great recruiter, Packer head coach relayed to media that Zook has a very exciting personality on the field.

And if he wins next week at Seattle, lots of others jobs will come open besides LSU's. But there's not a Hall of Fame coach anywhere that could win a game at Seattle so I feel LSU is a very safe bet if he's the one.

I just don't understand how an announcement that Zook was taking the LSU gig would have some huge effect on the Packers? Isn't he like assistant to the regional manager there?

If Zook is the man, why not announce tomorrow?

If he wins? His title is assistant special teams coach.

Cause he's still coaching. If it his him I'm sure they said they won't announce anything till he is finished coaching

Okay, I'll be more specific, if his team wins. Sounds like he'd be a great hire, an exciting personality, recruits well, known for being a very good defensive coach not an offensive one when he was a head coach in college.

Who knows, maybe he has a provision in his contract that penalizes him if he takes another job before season end (like no share of income for postseason wins). Lots of possible, rational explanations that might have escaped your steel trap analytical mind.

Chavis took the job while still coaching and it never affected the team. Oh, wait...bad example.

This, they likely knew he would be offered a job opening eventually, didn't want any interruptions during a possible playoff run.

This, had to anger Miles a great deal. Les wants to teach Chavis a lesson on how job openings are suppose to be handled in a professional manner.

Les has always hired and allowed coaches to leave without being fired except for Stud. I doubt he or Chavis give two shits about teaching each other a lesson. I bet the only thing that has pissed off Chavis is Sumlin outing him as the conversation while the pool boy was fired. Chavis probably didn't appreciate Sumlin outing him like that since he was coaching later that day.

It's really the only thing that goes at the integrity of Cheif. Like I said. that probably really bothers him.
