Give Miles a Contract Extension NOW!!

This is not rocket science. Miles has been enormously successful as our coach. To think that we can get a coach that will have better bottom line results is lunacy. The only reason Miles is not saying that he is not going anywhere is because he is not feeling the love from the university or the fans. The fact that his contract has not been extended before now is poor management of the program. The fact this he is skewered by the talk radio loonies and the loonies on the forums after every game certainly does not give him reason to lock himself to LSU.
Do the right thing NOW - raise and extension. All the Michigan BS disappears and life returns to normal. Have a great day!!

Absolute morons want Miles to go..........I'm sure they will do what they can to keep him.
If Miles leaves, it will take these Miles haters about 24 hrs to see that there pie in the sky dreams of replacements are just that. We WILL end up with a lesser coach.

With the state budget cuts on the university I would not like this move. He makes PLENTY of money

I really think we are between a rock and a hard place right now. and if a contract extension, raise is what it takes to keep Les Miles and this recruiting class intact then that's what Alleva needs to do. Alleva has been saying all the right things, so we will see what he does.

LSU should never have a coach with a buyout of more than $2million. I don't care if it is Bear "fricking" Bryant.

it is my understanding that Coach Miles received an extention through the 2014 season during this football season. so Coach has a guaranteed contract for the next 4 seasons.

I don't think that is really the issue, the question is does Miles want to go rebuild Michigan? That is the only that will determine what happens.

A guaranteed $15M or so through 2014 doesn't make him feel loved then frick him.

I won't pass up the opportunity to say that Miles is a damn great coach and I have a significant want to keep him here at LSU.

no way...after the Tenn debacle most here wanted him fired immediately. He was the joke of the nation. Now you want to give him a raise?
