Does Michigan deserve Les Miles?

In reading all the LSU/UM coach related threads it seems the UM fan base is more divided from their front office thru their fan base than LSU. Seems like Lloyd Carr is the main driver of this coming from his dislike of Les. They have the perfect choice for a new coach in Les for a third time and they are still POLITICALLY divided over a successful passionate coach from their own football bloodline. Division and politics has the potential harm any organization.
I'm impressed how Les has handled the LSU situation after Saban. Les first had to deal with being the next coach after Saban and the fans that could not let go of Saban. Then Saban takes the job at Alabama of all places and Les has to play the guy every year. I personally don't know of any head coach anywhere who could have handled the situation any better. And I'm not sure Michigan deserves a coach of Les' character.
We are blessed to have had two great back to back head coaching hires, how many programs can say this? In comparing how divided Michigan is, I'm grateful we have Les who has prevented such division at LSU. The fuel for division still simmers from the LSU fans that still compare everything Les does to Saban. Les has handled our program in a class way many coaches could not have or succeeded at.

why does Lloyd Carr have so much influence in the Michigan Athletic Dept?
Michigan needs to tell Carr to GTFO, Lloyd Carr liking you should not be a prerequisite for the job.
