There was no bait. LSU fans, and many others were soooo convinced. Hoping, praying. 100 mill, no way he stays. Austin is such a great city, sources, sources, sources. This is what I'm being told. It's a done deal, it fell through at the 11th hour. Not proof of interview, no proof of meeting with officials, just hope, hope , hope. Yea, I'm sure all that was just for fun. Then when he doesn't go, Ah we were just trying to fire Bama fans up. LSU fans were absolutely crushed when he didn't leave. Bama fans were the one's who DIDN'T melt as much as you 'd like to believe that.
Bama fans weren't the one's who took the bait.

You forgot about Saban's horrible real estate investments that some oil man in houston was going to pay off. it was around $25M, if i recall.
The Doc was all over that one, and like desperate moths to a bright flame, so many flocked to it and believed it was true

Last year with Saban to Texas. I remember the sticky at the top that said do not post it's happening gif because it was posted relentlessly in every thread.

Ruined this board for me. A completely bad troll job with no substance that some morons (mostly from other fan bases) actually bought because they think Chicken is a legit source. It completely originated on this board.
ETA: This board always had info on that fake garbage but it's pretty useless for any real breaking info on actual coaching searches.

Anyway, I remember seeing Bama fans melt so bad that at one point they were talking shite about Chicken on his own site and even on the very Bama board that Chicken was gracious enough to set up for them. Just going off what I remember.
