Does anyone know much about him as far as his personality? What is his primary offense ran?

He's a firecracker. I'll tell you that.

Apparently I told you twice. Sorry

By firecracker you mean he has a pretty bad temper? Sort of a hot head?

There are several..too many...threads bout him here, and it's all pretty much been covered in them. Biggest issue is that he's winning in a very weak conference & has only tied for the championship one time. Point being, is he ready for the next level of college coaching? Consensus seems to be no.

That's not considering too that the conference has progressively gotten weaker every year since he has been at ULL.

I know where he is & what his overall record is.
Question 1: What's his personality like?
Question 2: What type of offense does he primarily run?

Guy is intense. He started this don't let go of the rope motto here. Kind of an everybody all in mantra. some of his pregame speeches may be available on youtube. Just a swole guy screaming at people but it seems to motivate his players.

From an article a few years old
quote:
Mark Hudspeth has literally written several articles about the spread offense and how to best utilize what it does to the field. His offense is, at least in style, quite similar to that of Freeze's. He runs a no-huddle up-tempo spread that places a strong athlete at quarterback and gives him the option to run or pass. A first year head coach, Hudspeth took a downtrodden team that went 3-9 last year then turned them around to 8-4. His starting quarterback, Blaine Gautier, completed just 50% of his passes last year with a penchant to make mistakes throwing three touchdowns to six interceptions. He appeared lost and in over his head. With one off-season's tutelage from Hudspeth, Gautier has completed 63% of his passes with a 20:5 TD:INT ratio. The turnaround is staggering.
That still about sums up what the offense is like. We've got a DT QB in Terrence Broadway whos played roles ranging from star player to game manager. Hud usually likes to feature two running backs. Two running backs have 150+ carries. The leading rusher has 1100 yards with the 2nd leading rusher having 700+.

Trying to come up with the right words but I can't.
I don't know if "Redneck Greg Schiano" is right but I'm going with it.

He had an affair with a student. He hired a wife beater and junkie after both were fired from Texas Tech for their actions. Publicly called out school newspaper journalist after he didn't like her accurate assessment of their NOLA bowl performance. I'm sure he wouldn't do any of these things at a major university though....Pffffffft

so here's where I catch you making shite up
The writer was some liberal arts major who didn't know shite about football, and wasn't even informed enough to realize Broadway played hurt in the bowl and probably shouldn't have even played. She basically wrote an article saying he played like shite when the dude could barely move his arm yet put it all on the line for his team. For some idiot to be badmouthing the team's QB on the front of the school newspaper like that with inaccurate facts is pretty shitty. Should Hud have responded? Probably not, but he was definitely justified for being pissed at that.

Here is her article. It discusses more than just Broadway and she does acknowledge that he had an injury prior to the game.
Here is Huspeth's response and Whitt's response.
I find it pretty funny that Hudspeth is referring to himself as a "grown adult" while he calling out a college student for a school newspaper article.

She briefly acknowledges it, the guy wasn't even supposed to play yet she's saying he should have had similar stats to the regular season when he was healthy. Do you think that's a legit criticism?

Just looked through your post history- of your 47 posts I'd say 25-30 are about the Cajuns at a quick glance. Obsess much, bud?

I agree it may be a little harsh, but all you can do is critique the numbers that were actually put up that day. Broadway's injury wasn't the only thing that caused the Cajuns to struggle that day as she mentioned. The comments on Broadway a very small part of her article. Also, it is an opinion piece and that was her opinion.

For her to shite on another student on the front page of the paper, and a guy who played hurt for his team in a bowl game is pretty low. Lots of students, alumni, and fans were upset about that. I really don't care about her trashing Hud, he's an employee of the university.
