Recently finished A World Without End. Currently on book 3 of the Saxon Chronicles, per board recommendations.

You and I, we have similar book tastes. Uhtred is the ultimate alpha dog.

When you're fjnished with the Saxon series, read Cornwell's Arthur series. It's incredible. Gritty and bloody, with just a light touch of ambiguous magic. The protagonist is a warrior similar to Uhtred, although not as interesting a personality, but the three book series masterfully weaves the Arthur legends and characters into a realistic dark age England historical fiction story.

Man that's a tuff read. I got half way through it a few years ago and had to just step away from it. Really dry read.

Currently reading "Lamar Hunt: A Life In Sports".

Far more entertaining than one would expect.

Finished "When Breath Becomes Air" a few weeks ago. About a Neurosurgery Resident who develops metastatic lung cancer to his spine, and his reflections on his life, and the end of his life. It's amazing.
