I just finished reading this book and I feel like it's a must read for anyone who grew up in Louisiana and moved out of state for greener pastures. Lots of fond memories and reminders of good times at LSU and in Louisiana in general. Definitely worth a read.

Thanks for the plug! I didn't know this thread existed until now.

The book was a passion project based partially on my seven-year undergrad residence at LSU.

I'll be at the Louisiana Book Festival in October if you want it signed or want to discuss!

Cheers,
Joe

I just bought the Kindle version -- and came back here to talk about my reasons when low and behold the author is here. I'm an early 50s guy who will eventually leave Louisiana at retirement. I already feel a certain melancholy at just the thought of leaving, but I know there are good reasons for doing so. I figured I could commiserate with Joe's experience even though he left earlier in life. Reviews look great. Looking forward to it.
