Anyone have a recommendation? I think A Terrible Glory was ranked pretty high?

A Terrible Glory was a great book. Another good one is The Killing of Crazy Horse. It tells the story of the Indian Wars more from the side of the Native Americans. I have both in my library.

I read "The Last Stand" by Nathaniel Philbrick. I enjoyed it.

Another vote for A Terrible Glory

Another good book in that vein is The Heart of Everything That Is which covers Red Cloud's war and much of the time leading up to The Little Bighorn.

Little Big Man is a novel that deals with it, as does Flashman and The Redskins

Just finished it after visiting the battlefield in July. Really good, encompassing read.
