I'm currently in the early stages of writing something, a part of the story has been in my mind for a while but about a year ago, something just clicked and it started to fall in place. Its a big scope idea - sci fi / fantasy world building style thing and more of a hobby at this point. But i'm making progress and seeing how this first part goes.

I've sat down to write more a few times, but since I quit smoking weed regularly I'm not as creative as I once was.

So drugs are the only reason you could write a book?

I appreciate it, the scope has transformed a bit more and become larger than i originally thought about. But that was kind of the whole catalyst for me figuring out how the whole thing was going to play out.

I've been just writing down ideas as the come on legal pads while i still figured out how the world worked and some of the more mechanical aspects of the story as well as a timeline of events to a point. I've been attempting to write actual pages lately, but have never written any fiction like this before with dialogue and setting, etc. so its tough sledding at the moment.

Started reading a lot again to view different styles of writing and maybe give me some ideas on how to handle it all. Its more of a hobby at the moment but I enjoy it. Those few moments where the story just starts to come together and flow out almost faster than you can think or write it down are pretty awesome.
