First, I didn't realize we had this board. Love it. Now, within the last month, I have finished through Vol 4 of A Game Thrones: A Graphic Novel. Currently on the Hedge Knight series. What's your go to? Looking for my next series. I am not really into super heroes. Preacher and The Walking Dead are possibilities.

Saga is supposed to be good. I enjoyed the first couple books of Fable.

The Sandman series is seminal.

Watchmen, Kick-arse, and Wanted are all enjoyable. The Dark Knight Returns.

May try some manga novels as well like Akira and Lone Wolf and Cub.

ETA: From Hell is great.

Blankets is supposed to be wonderful.

The Scott Pilgrim books are fun.

The Killing Joke.

Y the Last Man is supposed to be phenomenal.

300 is actually incredible.

Maus is also one of those works that seems transcendent, though I have yet to read it.

V for Vendetta

The Locke & Key series by Joe Hill is pretty cool...different.

Definitely read this.

Even though you're not into super heroes, give Watchmen a try.

I'm admittedly not a big graphic novel connoisseur but I really enjoyed Watchmen and The Killing Joke. As well as the Hedge Knight series.

They seem to have a nice niche. ASOIAF series is perfect for them with the size of that universe.

It is very good.

Y the Last Man, Sandman, Preacher, V for Vendetta would all be ones I'd suggest for the OP.

The Boys is also really good for a more realistic take on people with superpowers (as is Watchmen of course).

This one is great.

I'm trying to make myself read From Hell currently.

If you go the manga route, check out Berserk.

Akira is one of the two manga I've read. If you like the movie it's worth checking out because the movie is pretty different and stops about 1/3 through the manga.

I need to check out Lone Wolf & Cub. Movie Wolf's real life brother is my avatar.

Alan Moore's run on Swamp thing was epic if you can find those graphic novels.

The Invisibles and The Filth by Grant Morrison. Mindblowing stuff.
Alan Moore's From Hell. Also Swamp Thing (Some Super Hero stuff since it exists in DC Universe)
Pride of Baghdad by Brian K Vaughn.

Book 7 of Saga is a gut punch. It's always been great, but the most recent trade is possibly the greatest comic ever written. I really mean that.

Basically showing what would happen if a hero with Superman like powers got fed up and decided to wreck shop and destroy humanity.
