This book is very good. I usually take a lot of time to read books because I read a few at a time, but I can’t put this one down. Just three chapters left.

I have it sitting on my shelf waiting to be read (along with dead souls by Gogol)

Just curious, how did you hear about Fathers and Sons?

It’s a pretty famous piece of Russian literature. I decided to read it after reading a review in The New Criterion

I read it in college in mass market paperback decades ago and based on this thread, decided to order a copy and reread. What I got from Amazonia was from an outfit called Kessinger’s Legacy Reprints and it is a hard bound reprint of an 1867 translation published by Leypoldt & Holt in New York in that same year. The print is very small and in very old typeface, but worth the acquisition as it was cheap. Anyone have experience with Kessinger’s? I’d never heard of them.
